News from the sicko front

The Pessoas were in quarantine this weekend... Papai was miserable, with the virus that maman so generously shared with him...

That was followed by a trip to the doc on Sunday for Amélie... We already visited the doc last Tuesday for a pink eye may I add... On Sunday, she woke up with her eyes puffed up and her eyelids were all red... Nothing to worry about, after a few days on antibiotics, it will all be a memory...

The sign your little one has fever? Irrevocable evidence:

Friday Night CHACHACHA Fever!

Tonight, Amélie delighted us with a new dance she came up with while listening to one of her favorite sautecroche songs (#7, the great story of a penguin tired of the cold that moves to the tropics.... ahh how mom can relate to the penguin these days):

By the way French speakers out there, sautecroche is one of the funniest collections of songs for kids I have come across, and it's a French speaking Swiss group! LOVE IT!

C'mon!

Our little one has always been very clear about letting us know when she didn't like something...

But today she reached new heights:

Papai and I were talking with her teacher about the possibility of a trapeze lesson for our little stunt woman... But we clearly took too long, because Amélie marched towards us with determined eyes, took our hands and said in her most serious voice 'C'mon!'...

All of us looked at this little thing in surprised... And obliged (trust me the way that was said did not allow for any negotiation)...

But don't worry she also has moments when she collaborates, especially to imitate the funny faces of her papai:

New Hair Cut!

We have been horrified by how her hair growing made Amélie look more and more like an 80s rock band lead singer:

Not convinced? Trust me, she looked something like:

We decided to give her a haircut... Beginner's luck or not, the results are nice and look professional enough from afar:

Today in the car, we suddenly realized that with her new hairdo, she reminded us of her homonym...

Total coincidence, but uncanny isn't it?

Memories from Jamaica

Amélie needed some time to get used to the water and the sand, but after a while, she got used to playing with sand and even used some water in the process:

She was only willing to go into the water once, I am glad we could catch that:

The rest of the time, we watched her develop her own personal style in terms of getting acquainted with water:
