On Trust...

Daddy was making chewing gum bubbles for Amélie tonight.

When she popped one of his bubbles, Daddy made the 'unhappy with you right now' face, and Amélie promised not to do it again. As Daddy didn't seem to believe her, I told her to ask Daddy to trust her... A funny exchange followed:

a: Daddy, trust me, trust me I won't do it again!
D: OK then let's try again!

Daddy made a new bubble and Amélie started squirming, visibly it was really hard for her to not pop another bubble! After a few seconds she blurred out 'Daddy, I can't trust my body!!!'

It was hilarious to watch, trust me ;)...

Amélie earned her new belt!

Amélie graduated to her next belt - white with orange stripe:

She was thrilled and is doing very well during class, it's the time during which she is the most focused, and she asks often if we will go to tae kwondo on that day.

The best possible activity for her!

Now on DVD!

This is the year of Tiana in our house...

First, we went to see the movie 8 times in the movie theater...

Second, Amélie's birthday cake had to be Tiana themed...

Third, Amélie's favorite toy currently is a Tiana and Naveen set a friend give her for her birthday...

Fourth, we got a 100% collaboration from Amélie today (we just told her she would have a surprise at home if she helped a lot), and she completely flipped when she realized we bought her the Princess and the Frog on DVD. She was so cute!

Disney has the princesses thing down to an art, but at least Tiana is a strong-willed lady who works hard towards her goal!

Amélie got a second birthday celebration!

Amélie participated in a second birthday party this year: All students who were born in February and March were invited to a birthday party at our tae kwondo club!

She was thrilled to be able to cut the birthday cake with a SABER (with her spiderman face paint):

We have to make this a tradition, it's SO cool!

Amélie also had her first sparring trial during the celebration, she didn't really understand what it was about, but it was amazing to watch:

We'll try again next year :)!
