Guess what, last week when I was in Chicago, I went to see our closest relatives, that is, the great apes! The chimpanzees were not really around, but mama gorilla was a sight to see. She was just eating away a few feet in front of me. What great fun!
I don't know about this DNA stuff, she seemed closer to us than the 90-something percent that people talk about, just look at her! When I grow up, maybe I'll go to Africa to check them out. But they might not be around anymore :-(

Wow--what a cool experience. I'm just glad that there's a three-inch pane of glass in between the gorilla and your little girl.
definitely, I was even more glad to see thick glass between her and the tiger she saw up close!
