Tonight at dinner:
Amélie turned to her dad, and asked him 'What's your name daddy?' She giggled and obediently repeated 'Dato'.
After that, she turned to me, and asked 'What's your name mommy?' When she heard 'Mrim', she looked at me straight in the eye, with the clearest expression of disgust we have seen on her face so far...
So much for unconditional love!

Don't take it personally -- she's not reacting to the name so much as the phonotactics: /mr/ == illegal consonant cluster.
You of all people should know that! ;)
I guess it's a good sign but this is one more piece of evidence to show my parents that I could probably sue them for major psychological trauma due to the obvious phonotactic violation present in my first name...
