Trip to DC!

We decided to go with Daddy to DC for Memorial Day weekend... However, when I saw the hotel bedroom I didn't like it... at all! I mean I found the room too small for me to run around as I generally do at home, my crib was just average despite my blankie, doll and multiple pacis my parents brought with us, and the tub did not have any inner tub like I am used to... For those of you who know me, these were basic ingredients for a perfect storm...

And I let my parents have it (for the whole 4 days we were there):
* I did not sleep enough and therefore was crankier than usual
* I protested forcefully whenever my parents wanted me to go in my stroller (nothing new there you might say)
* My whining and screaming reached new heights in volume and length (I of course reserved my best performances for restaurants and bookstores)

Fortunately, my parents figured out that the Zoo was a safe place for tantrums, and that in the zoo I could actually turn out to be manageable and even come across as cute:

My trick to keep my parents from going nuts? Give strategic hugs:

Wow, what fun! I hope she was _extra, EXTRA_ cute to reward you for being brave enough to take her on a trip!

Oh, this "strategic" hug is the best! Can't wait for Luka to be able to really hug. We were also in DC but on April 28 - I wrote about it only a few days ago since we were constantly traveling ... and Luka is again in Europe.

Oh dear! What trip.
Indeed, no surprise for your parents, they should have expected all of this and be better prepared, right?
Hey, I love your sandals...

Ah friends, it's all my fault, I always have powerful visions that traveling will be easier this time... No worries, I think this time I have learned my lesson ;)...
