Hi everybody, this is Amelie...
I think my dad read somewhere that an infant's cognitive abilities are well predicted by their motor skills (this was supposed to be "serious" research, not readers digest). Apparently, some forms of dexterity predict verbal ability and the like. So here's what he's decided to do!
The only catch is that I think he misunderstands a thing or two about correlation and causation...

Uh, am I wrong, or was that study talking about a relationship between _kids'_ fine motor skills and other cognitive abilities, not their parents' motor skills? Frankly, if Luiz didn't have such good motor skills, Amelie's cognitive abilities might go downhill quickly, if you know what I mean :)
In any case, that looks like tons of fun, and I've had to explain to Esme a number of times that "only Amelie can fly like that." Hope all is well with you guys!
Excellent point, Luiz says that training will help (although now, I might insist on having our little adventurer wear a helmet... Just to protect her future cognitive skills...)
